BORA AND BAILEY'S
Got back from our office outing to Bora. The gods were kind enough to let us enjoy beautiful weather all the days we were there. Flew in Thursday on Asian Spirit - was first to check in so I naturally asked for the seat nearest the front - they usually have more leg room and I don't have to walk all the way to the back of the plane. Imagine my surprise when I found that the door of the plane was at the back and I was seated facing the rest of the passengers.
The rest of the flight went ok. I landed safely in Caticlan so I guess the airline wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.
Of course, I was expecting to crash halfway there.
We stayed in the Boracay Terraces. I was lucky enough to be assigned to their best room - the Taj Suite A. The first day was tiring. We had come after the storm so the tides were unsually high and there was so much flotsam and jetsam washing up on the shores. We had to walk 15 minutes to get to a decent swimming spot.
What followed were days filled with endless buffets, booze, drugs, massages and more booze. Especially Bailey's - my drink of choice in my old age. I was also able to conquer my fear of deep water when I strapped on a lifejacket and floated around while my officmates were snorkeling.
Oh, did I mention that I have hot officemates? Hot officemates who like wearing bikinis? Too bad they're all taken.
Anyway, it was a real enjoyable trip. I ended up almost getting shot by a wayward bullet at the airport, but it's all good.
